Cinema Vérité to call for workshops, masterclasses

The Cinema Vérité in Iran is slated to call for workshops and masterclasses for the new and professional filmmakers.

The organizers of the event are coordinating meetings with renowned international filmmakers to launch workshops.

The director of research and development of the Center for the Development of Documentary and Experimental Cinema told the media that "The topic of these workshop seminars will be determined in consultation with the coaches of these sessions."

Over 70 countries have submitted works to this year’s edition of the festival.

Cinema Verite has several sections, including National, International, and Martyr Avini Prize, Entrepreneurship Documentary Competition, Coronavirus Special Section, Side Sections and commemorations.

The international section of the festival contains several non-competition sections such Special Displays, Mirror of a Festival, Portrait and Perspective of One Country Documentary Cinema.

Directed by Mohammad Hamidi Moghaddam, the Cinema Vérité will be held in December 9-16, 2021.
